Fastest-growing counties between Census Day, April 1, 2000, and July 1, 2001. Overall, 55 percent of all 3,141 U.S. counties grew since April 1, 2000.

Census Bureau's CenStats
This free site offers county and zip code business patterns, monthly building permit data, federal spending, census tract data, etc.

Lewis Mumford Center: Census Research
This site lists some census research analysis that is used by many reporters, especially those covering census information. It is run by Merci Miglino of the Lewis Mumford Center at the Research University at Albany, SUNY.
